A Chilled Cup of Milk by Moses Adebayo

NURSE: A cup of milk?
Doctor: (Still looking at the woman, he removes his glasses) can you recognize me ma?
THE WOMAN: (Looks at him very well) I don’t think I knew you sir.
(Flashback)
DOCTOR: I am the young boy who came and knocked on your door under the heat of the day, years ago. I asked for water but instead you gave me a chilled glass of milk.
THE WOMAN: Me?
DOCTOR: Yes, you ma. I was surprised and l asked you about amount to pay even though I didn’t have a penny. Can you now remember how you replied me? (the woman begins to weep)
DOCTOR: (To those around him) This Mama said that her mother taught her not to receive a dime, for any good deed she does to anybody.
ALL: hmmm….. whoa
DOCTOR: So ma, the cup of chilled milk has paid the bill. One good deed deserves another. God will never forget your good work ma, keep on doing good.
Conclusion 1 Cor 15:58 “Therefore my beloved brethren be ye steadfast unmovable always abounding……..as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain the Lord
“And God is able to make all grace abound towards you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” 2 Cor.9:8
